Kanthi Mala

 Kanthi Mala / Kanthi is piece of necklace, which Hindus wear around their neck.  Followers of Vaishnavism sect wear rosary beads Krishna was very fond of Tulsi or Holy Basil, as such his followers wear Kanthi Mala made from beads made from root or stem of Tulsi plant. Lord Swaminarayan instructed his followers to wear a double stranded kanthi made from Tulsi to symbolize Krishna and Radha.

IMPORTANCE OF TULSI BEADS :

Tulasi maala represents 54 alphabets of Devanagari.
Akshara is immortal because it creates sound.
The a*being the first alphabet and ksha* is the last one; sometimes the maala is called as *Aksha Maala*.

When the beeds are 108 it is considered as full rotation which symbolises the Vishwa* the Universe.

The 109th one is called Shikhara* which represents The God.

Tulsi’s Mala heals from high fever, cerebral diseases and from the wind disorders within the system. It is also useful in achieving Supernatural powers if Jap of Vishnu, Ram and Krishna are recited with it.
